Placements



Vision: “All students find their desirable vocation” Mission: To help students plan, pursue and obtain desirable jobs by creating a self-sustaining system of training, planning, networking that facilitates career counseling, interaction with employers, industrial training, and personality development, on/off campus recruitment procedures and creating and maintaining database.
Training and Placement Cell aims at undertaking several activities that assist our students find placement with the best of the employers. These will include: To groom and train the final year students for placements so that their chances of selection increase To prepare Placement Brochure for final placement To organize pre-placement visits (PPV) to the companies To communicate, network and build relationship with potential recruiters To organize on-campus off-campus interviews for final year students and internship (training) for students with industries and reputed institutes To prepare students to face interviews by arranging training in aptitude tests, group discussions, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers To promote career counseling by organizing lectures by experts in the field Maintaining regular interaction with industry through Seminars, Guest Lectures and Conferences etc. Maintaining and updating database of students Providing requisite training to students in the area of Personality Development and Communication Skills To facilitate interview process by assisting employers to achieve their hiring goals Training and Placement Cell The placement activities will be managed by the Training and Placement Cell of the College. This Cell has as its Chairperson the Principal of the College, Dr. R J Barnabas.TPC will function under the supervision of its Convener Dr. N R Somvanshi and a committee which includes faculties and students from various departments. TPC’s daily functions are coordinated by a Placement Coordinator Dr. Sunny D Rupwate, with the help of a Student Committee constituted from among the students who register with the Training and Placement Cell. Nagawade ................Member Dr. Noel Parge....................Member Registration Procedure Students who are in their final year and interested in availing placement support from College, will have to register themselves for placement. Those who don’t want any kind of placement support need not register themselves. Registration for placement is done by paying placement registration fees decided by the College from time to time. Placement Brochure The College prepares a Placement Brochure with details of the student-candidates for the benefit of the potential recruiters. The brochure will showcase a brief introduction to the students with their strengths, aspirations, areas of special interest, experience, and contact details. Placement Eligibility Students who fail to clear the academic exams & other formalities at the end of course and do not complete the training process conducted by the TPC shall be removed from the placement process and hence will not be eligible for campus placement activities. Any major disciplinary actions will terminate the student from campus placement activities. Placement Process Once an organization shows interest in recruitment from the College, the students are asked to register their interest for the job. An email informing about the job opening and its details will be shared with the student coordinators and placement committee. TPC will try to get as much details as possible about the job profile. It is not compulsory. Only students who register for that particular job profile will be considered for the job opening and their names and CVs will be shared with the company. It will be the responsibility of a student to keep his/her resumes updated with placement cell. Once the names of students are submitted, student is not allowed to withdraw from the selection process. Sometimes companies may come for Pre-Placement Talk / Group Discussion / Written Test and the short-listed students are interviewed at the campus or off the campus. Alternately, some companies may select students based on their CVs and may invite them for Group Discussions/Interviews at their offices. The final placement is governed by certain guidelines, which are framed to facilitate the students to get maximum benefits. These guidelines are revised from time to time. Placements Policy A student can apply to any number of companies. Eligibility for placement process will be based on attendance and performance of individual student at academic and placement module. Any communication from companies & vice a versa to the student will be routed through the TPC. A student must inform TPC office about opting out of final placement process. The role of the TPC is that of a facilitator and councilor for placement related activities. Training and Placeme
